Day 2) City Tour of Los Angeles, dinner at one of Wine Spectators Grand Award Restaurants

 

Day 3) Departure for Santa Barbara Wine Country

Visit Ampelos winery and vineyard in Santa Rita Hills , one of the best places in the world for growing Pinot Noir, lunch or dinner on site with proprietors Peter and Rebecca Work. A chance to follow the process of the grape from vineyard to bottle. Possible visit to East Valley Vineyards, one of the best producers of Cabernet Sauvignon in the area. Stay in Buellton or Solvang

 

Day 4)  Departure to Central Coast.

Visit Claiborne&Churchill in the only straw bale winery in coastal California. They make fabulous Riesling and Gewurztraminer as well as Pinot Noir and Syrah. Lunch. Visit with Alban vineyards, one of the foremost Rhone -varietals producer in the country, always awarded the highest accolades. Visit Laetitia, originally the first wineries in California started by a French Champagne house, Deutz. Dinner at an incredible and unique restaurant.

Overnight in San Luis Obispo area.
